Portfolio Update: Opportunity Today is Tremendous - My Projections
Millennials have decades of opportunity presenting itself today. Those who think long term can become multi-millionaires.
Macro investors, technical traders, and in some cases Wall Street, are missing an enormous opportunity. Especially if we consider the structural forces shifting beneath our feet.
In today’s publication, I will provide my weekly portfolio update where I will be sharing all my moves and portfolio allocation during this bear market. I have one new stock in my portfolio and another I am planning on adding another one this week, so two new stocks. I am excited to share my two new stock picks because they are a slight change of pace from what I usually focus on but it’s becoming clear that these two businesses are preparing to be tomorrows next big winners. I’ll share my preliminary research on both businesses.
In addition to talking about my specific stock picks, I will be discussing the growth market as a whole and what history tells us happens to the “high-beta” market during market crashes. The opportunity we are presented today is tremendous, valuations are cheap, and the underlying businesses (the real asset) in a few specific sectors continues to improve. This is positioning us for years, and years, and years of producing Alpha (market beating returns) where most people are trying to figure out how to mitigate another few % down. I have never been more confident when I say, real money is made during periods like this.
2022, the Year of Accumulation
Let me define exactly what I mean by this by doing simple math that’s feasible for most individual investors. I would assume that many of you are much like me (maybe a few institutional investors) where you’re trying to build wealth and buy great companies. Because of this, let’s take a realistic monthly average of $200/month allocated into a portfolio of one specific stock. Obviously there’s going to be people who allocate more and some who allocate less but the concept is to run a mathematical concept on what returns look like, long term, in a bear market vs a bull market. The stock in this example will be one that I believe will be a long term winner, SentinelOne.
